Kill Bill I & II Tribute

     The 'Kill Bill' films tell the tale of 'The Bride', A.K.A. 'Black Mamba' as she gets her revenge on 'Bill' and his group of assassins, that she was once a part of, who gunned down her wedding rehearsal killing everyone inside the church but her, who they thought they had killed as well.  'The Bride' had survived the massacre but, was in a coma, and when she wakes up she vows to take her revenge on The Deadly Viper Assassination Squad and their leader, her former lover, 'Bill'.
     This two part movie is filled with action and suspense.  Even though the plot is hokey, Quentin Tarantino manages to craft films that have you completely absorbed in the drama that unfolds.  The writing, like in all Tarantino's work, is flawless and engaging, and the ensemble cast delivers electric performances throughout.  These movies are not to be missed.

Edgar Allan Poe Tribute

     Edgar Allan Poe was one of the first great authors I was ever introduced to as a child in school.  He was the first author to ever resonate with me as well.  His work felt alive in a way that no other writer that I had been exposed to ever had.  His words were alive, they even seemed to breathe, they lept off the page and walked around the secret passages of your mind, and sometimes, even seemed to scream out loudly in fear.
